Formula
Quality Standards
Last updated: 19 April 2026
Formula is designed to help researchers move faster without hiding the provenance questions that matter. Quality on Formula starts with catalog normalization and supplier visibility, then extends into documentation, issue handling, and listing maintenance.
Because Formula is a search and checkout workflow, not the manufacturer of each item in the catalog, documentation must still be validated directly with the supplier tied to the order.
1. Catalog quality
Formula normalizes product names, merchant data, and listing metadata so researchers can compare similar items across suppliers without relying on inconsistent catalog formatting.
2. Documentation visibility
When available, Formula surfaces supplier references such as certificates of analysis, batch identifiers, purity notes, or related quality indicators. Availability varies by merchant and by product family.
3. Supplier screening
Formula uses internal catalog checks, listing integrity review, and merchant-level monitoring to reduce noisy or unhelpful results. Inclusion in the catalog does not replace buyer-side due diligence.
4. Listing freshness
Product availability, price, and supporting metadata can shift quickly. Formula updates indexed listings on a rolling basis and may suppress stale, duplicate, or low-confidence catalog entries when they stop helping the buyer make a clear decision.
5. Issue reporting
If a listing appears inaccurate, incomplete, or misclassified, buyers should report it through Formula support so the catalog can be reviewed. Documentation disputes and batch verification questions should also be raised directly with the supplier responsible for fulfillment.
